Art from the Ground Up

House of RAD was commissioned to permanently dress the walls of the brand-new Riverwest Apartments in Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood. Built from the ground up, this project allowed us to bring local art into everyday living—literally.

We designed, welded, and crafted custom frames using Miller Welders and Evolution Power Tools to showcase stunning pieces by local artists: Melanie Ariens, Amy Schmutte, Amy Beattie, and Brandon Minga. With hands-on support from Jackson Lahaie, Stephen Vincent Anderson, Drew York, and Pamela Nanét, the hallways of Riverwest Apartments now serve as a permanent, walkable gallery—rooted in Milwaukee’s creative spirit.
